After school connection opportunity and progression in rural Invergordon

Your starting point should not decide the size of your future.

The Clootie Club is a free after-school club and opportunity programme for Invergordon Academy S1 to S4 pupils. Young people can eat, relax, play games, make things and build friendships. As trust grows, we connect them with mentors, new experiences, practical skills and routes into education, training, employment and community life.

Quick facts

Why Clootie exists

Young people in rural communities may have fewer activities, weaker professional networks and less access to colleges, universities, workplaces and unfamiliar careers. Cost, transport, confidence and lack of information can narrow opportunity. Clootie helps put more possibilities within reach.

What makes Clootie different

We do not try to provide every specialist service ourselves. We get to know young people, identify their interests and barriers, introduce them to credible people and opportunities, help remove practical obstacles and support them into a meaningful next step.

Our mission

We aim to help young people recognise their brilliance, broaden their horizons and build the confidence, skills and connections to explore ambitious futures of their own choosing.

More experiences. More connections. More possibilities.
